We’re pleased to announce our first round of speakers for JeffConf. Joining us is Ben Fletcher, Anna Doubková, Chris Swan and Lorna Mitchell. Paul Johnston, James Thomas and Myself will be hosting proceedings during the day.

Ben Fletcher is a team leader at the Financial Times, and will be talking about their serverless journey, the challenges they faced, the solutions they’ve found and the value they realised. Ben is deafblind and will be speaking with a sign language interpreter.

Lorna Mitchell will be presenting an interactive session aimed at developers of all levels. She is an accomplished speaker, a published author and respected engineer. Her session will focus on when to go serverless, why to go serverless, and how you go serverless. The session will include a live demo building an Alexa skill with integration into Stack Overflow.

Chris Swan, CTO for the Global Delivery Organisation at DXC Technology, will be joining us to talk about serverless operations. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Serverless doesn’t do away with operational tasks, it just presents us with a different set of tasks. Chris will explore this.

Anna Doubková, a senior engineer at Pizzahut, is going to give us an overview of the Serverless Framework and how it can address a lot of the tooling requirements for building serverless applications.

These are just the first speaker announcements. We have a number of speakers still to announce, including two great panels, and an outstanding opening keynote. Watch http://www.jeffconf.com/speakers for updates.

See you in July!

Ant, Paul and James
